Study group beta

Solve the same problem. Compare reasoning. Never compare answers.

Study group mode is in beta this week. Up to four students share a session, see the same problem, submit independent attempts, and — this is the part that matters — see each other's explain-backs, not each other's raw attempts.

Why explain-backs? Because copying another student's raw attempt is the same failure mode as copying an AI's answer. Explain-backs are compressed, generative, high-signal reasoning artifacts. Reading a peer's explain-back is comparing your reasoning to theirs, not your answer.

We spent a long time on this constraint. The default 'shared session' would have leaked answers. This design leaks reasoning, on purpose, and holds the line on the substrate.

Available in beta on Student and Parent plans. Feedback welcome.
