Everything you need to write about Brainback accurately — including the parts we can't claim yet.
Wordmark and glyph, SVG and PNG, light and dark. Ask and we'll send them the same day.
Learn mode, recall queue, hint ladder, Brain score. High-resolution, captioned.
What the product is, what it refuses to do, and how the refusal is enforced.
We'll take you through a real session, including the parts that don't flatter us.
One person reads this inbox, so you’ll get a real answer rather than a routed one. Put “URGENT” in the subject if you’re on deadline.
Brainback is small enough that everything routes to one address. Say which of these you’re after and the answer comes back faster.
Product philosophy, the refusal architecture, learning-science grounding, roadmap.
Pilots, DPAs, procurement, institutional pricing.
Output guard, jailbreak resistance, incident response, subprocessors, data handling.
Two lengths. Both approved for direct reproduction with attribution. Both say only what we can stand behind.
Brainback is a Socratic AI tutor that refuses to give final answers on academic problems. Every problem, hint and recall card is written from the student's own course materials — their syllabus, slides, notes, readings and past exams. Attempt-gated, hint-laddered and spaced-recall-scheduled, the workflow trains reasoning instead of automating it. Brainback is an independent, Canadian-run company.
Brainback is a consumer AI company building a Socratic study tutor that structurally refuses to give students the final answer to academic problems. Where most AI study tools optimize for the click that ends the session, Brainback optimizes for the session that ends with learning. The product enforces an attempt-gate on every problem, offers a five-rung hint ladder that stops before the answer, grades students' own explanations against a published rubric, and generates spaced-recall cards from every mistake. A second-model output guard runs on every reply to make the refusal survive adversarial pressure. The content is the student's own. Brainback ships no generic question bank: students upload the syllabus, slides, notes, readings and past exams from their actual courses, and every problem, hint and recall card is written from those and cites the page or slide it came from. It works the same way for an essay, a translation or a care plan as it does for a calculus problem. Brainback is independently built and Canadian-run. The product is live at www.brainback.chat.
