The Brain score exists because “how much did you study this week” is the wrong question. The right question is “did any of it stick.” The score answers the second question, weekly, and refuses to answer the first.
Subject decomposition
Your overall Brain score is the composite. Underneath it, you see the same three components computed per subject. A student with an 82 in calculus and a 61 in orgo now knows exactly where to spend the next week. That’s the whole use of the dashboard.
The share card
Every Brain score generates a shareable OG image (1200×630). Dark, one large number, weekly delta. It’s an accountability artifact. Send it to a study partner, share it privately, or don’t — your call. We built it because a Brain score you kept to yourself was too easy to ignore.
Why weekly, not daily
Daily numbers are noise. A single all-nighter can spike recall for 24 hours and mean nothing for retention. Weekly is the shortest interval where the number tells the truth. So: weekly. Every Sunday at 23:59 UTC. In your inbox by Monday morning.
