Attempts you write by hand

Draw your working in the composer, or photograph the page — it is transcribed into the attempt box for you to correct before you send it.
The transcriber only transcribes. It will not finish an unfinished line or fix a wrong one, because the mistake is the part the tutor needs to see.
A blank page comes back blank, rather than coming back as working you never did.

The app surface, rebuilt

Learn reads as a working surface rather than a chat transcript: the problem holds its own column, the hint ladder shows what each rung has cost you, and the attempt box is ruled paper.
Night desk moved into the sidebar, charts that read as bugs were redrawn, and every empty screen now says what to do next.
Two serious colour-contrast failures fixed — one introduced by the reskin, one older.

The nightly jobs stop skipping people

Brain score, mastery and new recall cards are computed for every active student. The job that found them read a capped scan of recent messages, so past a few dozen busy students the rest were silently skipped — no error, nothing in the log.
Each nightly run now records how many students it processed, so a run that quietly does half the work can no longer report success.
Daily Brain-point regeneration became a single database statement instead of one update per student.

Five student tiers, and a better tutor model

The pricing page became a five-tier ladder for students, with the daily allowances each tier actually enforces.
The tutor runs on Sonnet 5 — newer, and about a third cheaper per token than the model it replaced, which is what pays for the allowances above.

The product learns what it costs

Every model call is now priced from the published rate card and recorded per student, so a runaway day is visible while it happens rather than on the invoice.
Past a daily threshold the tutor switches to the faster, cheaper model and tells you it has; it does not quietly get worse.
Uploads are read after the response rather than during it, with retries and a readable failure — a slow lecture PDF no longer looks like a crash.
A deep health check runs every thirty minutes and raises an alert on cron failures, unhandled errors and spend caps.

Checkout, and the limits we publish

Checkout was returning an error on every plan — live products were missing the tax codes Stripe now requires — so the product could not take a payment at all. Fixed and verified against live Stripe.
The daily limits on the pricing page are now enforced, atomically. Two of the three counters they described were incremented by nothing.
Coming back to an unfinished session resumes where you left off instead of starting over.
Onboarding ends with one problem written from your own uploaded material, not a generic one.

The tutor remembers the conversation

The tutor now sees the dialogue so far, so it cannot ask you the same guiding question twice, or coach you toward a step a hint already handed over.
Hint rungs 4 and 5 stopped being eaten by an over-eager leak guard.

Honest failures

A student who hit a rate limit was told their internet was broken. They are now told what actually happened and when it lifts.
The tutor stopped answering for two days when the model account ran dry and nothing noticed. Something watches now, and the suite spends real tokens so it cannot happen silently again.

The learn loop gets its gates

You can tell us a problem is wrong, from inside the problem.
The three keyboard shortcuts the cheatsheet advertised now exist. Before this they did nothing.
Dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them, and the Mastery map scrolls instead of shrinking to fit.

Signing up stops failing silently

Onboarding was failing without saying so and trapping new accounts on its own page.
A brand-new account could hang on the dashboard forever — the streak calculation walked back through time with no floor.

Releases land when they are ready rather than on a calendar — in practice that has been one every few days since the first build. Version numbers are semantic and still 0.x, because nothing has launched: patch bumps for bug fixes, minor bumps for user-facing changes. An entry here means it deployed; what is still being built lives on the roadmap instead.
