A homeschool parent, a public-school parent, and a private-school parent all have the same reasonable question about their kid's AI tutor: is my child actually doing the work?
They deserve to know. Their children also deserve privacy in their own thinking and their own struggle.
The parent dashboard shows time on task, hints used, explain-back scores, recall streaks, and the weekly Brain score. It shows the pattern of effort. It does not show the content of any attempt, any tutor response, any explain-back, or any recall answer.
This is not a compromise. It is the correct design for a family product. Parents get signal on whether the tool is being used. Kids get the private space they need to be honestly wrong.
We are aware this decision means some parents will want more. We think giving them more would poison the product for the kids using it. So we don't.
